CLERVIE & CAREL NGOUNOUE

TALENT MANAGEMENT | ADVISORY | SPONSORSHIP

Represented by 17 Sport, world ranked Junior tennis players Clervie and Carel Ngounoue are set to match athletic potential with purposeful impact off the court.

THE
CHALLENGE

Professional sport is the crucible that forges legends. Competitive by nature, it is not an easy arena to enter. The talent of young athletes must be nurtured in order for them to achieve their full potential, on and off the court.

With the clear re-emergence of athlete activism highlighting social and environmental issues, success is no longer measured by sporting trophies alone. True athletic success encompasses meaningful mutually beneficial long-term relationships with sponsors and partners, and standing for a better vision for humanity to build a better world that fans are calling for. It is ambitiously reaching for sporting titles at the highest level of sport, whilst planting your flag in a better future.

Appointed by the Ngounoue family, the team at 17 Sport represents junior tennis players Clervie and Carel Ngounoue to build solid foundations to respond to this challenge.

SPORT. EXCELLENCE. EMPOWERMENT.

OUR
SOLUTION

As agents to both Clervie and Carel, our team at 17 Sport has built an evolving sponsorship and career strategy for each athlete. This includes designing and leveraging our athletes’ purposeful brand to drive concrete positive change in the world.

To achieve these goals, we have built a professional team of experts, united to serve our athletes’ best interests, and measure their success from a business and impact perspective. Commercially, both athletes are supported by the most prestigious brands in tennis. Both Clervie and Carel have signed brand endorsement deals with Nike and Wilson, whilst in 2021, Clervie also entered a partnership collaboration with BNP Paribas.

Athletically, both athletes are supported by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and are training at the prestigious Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, following in the footsteps of the iconic Serena Williams. Clervie is also mentored by the Champseed Foundation.

DO GOOD WHILE DOING WELL

THE
IMPACT

Commercially, at 15 and 13 years old, Clervie and Carel have signed brand endorsement deals that fully support the pursuit of their athletic goals. Athletically, both Clervie and Carel have seen tournament success in 2022, with Clervie achieving a career-high ranking of 10th in the ITF Junior Rankings in early 2022. Taking his first steps onto the ITF circuit in 2022, Carel has an ITF Junior Ranking of 650, and is rated #4 in Europe in his age category.

At the beginning of their purpose journeys, both athletes believe strongly in the power of sport to improve people’s lives. As a family, the Ngounoues have been actively redistributing sports gear - racquets, clothes and shoes - to underserved communities in Cameroon and the USA. As well as helping to reduce inequitable access to sport, this also helps address a sustainability problem that exists across the industry of underused sports equipment and gear.
